CARL WEBER AWARDS

The “traditional” Carl Weber Award is typically given to someone with a lengthy career in the field of water management, monitoring or policy. Many recipients have held jobs in public agencies or non-profit organizations focused on the protection and restoration of Maryland’s waters. They have also volunteered their time and energy towards increasing watershed awareness, advocacy and stewardship.

The Above & Beyond Award allows the MWMC to recognize someone who represents the next generation of Maryland’s water monitors and the future of the MWMC. In recognition of the contributions of an up-and-coming member of the Maryland’s environmental community, the Above & Beyond Award is presented to a member who has volunteered time and energy towards the monitoring of Maryland’s waters and has made a significant contribution to increasing watershed awareness, advocacy, education and stewardship.

The nomination period for the conference awards has ended.
