MBSS Data Request
The data collected by the MBSS during 1995 to 2024 cover the major river basins in the state. Here is the
MBSS Data Users Guide. The data have undergone quality control checks and are available by completing a
Data Request Form.
Most data requests can be filled in a 30 day period. Requests submitted during one of the MBSS index periods (March 1 - April 30, June 1 - September 30) may take up to 60 days to be filled. If you are interested in a report for a site on your property that will be sampled this calendar year, those reports will be sent the following spring.
Jabez Branch III Restoration Monitoring Data
Monitoring and Non-Tidal Assessment (MANTA) is working with partners to monitor a restoration project in the Jabez Branch III tributary of the Severn River in Anne Arundel County, Maryland to understand the effects of a regenerative stream conveyance (RSC) installation.
Four water quality parameters - dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, and turbidity - have been monitored at three sites in the restoration reach, one site above the restoration, and two sites in mainstem Jabez Branch. Additionally, MANTA has collected biology, physical habitat, and iron flocculant data within the restoration reach and at the sites above, below, and adjacent to the restoration.
