This brick planter contains plants with special sensory characteristics – various textures, tastes, and fragrances. Each of the three sections has a descriptive plaque as well as a recess underneath for the convenience of wheelchair users.

Starting at the texture planter you will first be encouraged to use your sense of touch. How many different textures do you feel as you gently explore these plants?

The next garden bed holds herbs and other edible plants. Do you recognize any ingredients you might use in your kitchen?

Follow your nose to the last planter. Take in the aromas of the flowers and leaves growing here. Are any scents familiar? Do you have a favorite?

While you are invited to touch and taste select plants here, please refrain from touching and tasting plants once you leave this area of the garden.
