ALERT: Tuckahoe State Park is OPEN and operating within state and federal directives pertaining to COVID-19. We have adapted our operations for the health and safety of our visitors and staff. The camp store, park office/visitor’s center, challenge course and boathouse remain closed at this time. Firewood sales ARE available on site (self-serve, pay at the woodshed). Other amenities and goods are available in nearby Ridgely, Denton and Centreville. Campers do not need to check-in; proceed directly to your reserved cabin, campsite or pavilion (check the bulletin board if you have questions). Please expect restrooms and bathhouses to be closed daily for an extended period of time for enhanced cleaning. The following department websites include Maryland Park Service updates, and guides to safe outdoor activity and social distancing:

Tuckahoe Creek, a quiet country stream bordered for most of its length by wooded marshlands, runs through TSPCFC.png
the length of the park. A 60-acre lake offers boating and fishing. The park has 20 miles of scenic hiking, biking and equestrian trails, flat water canoeing, hunting, picnicking, as well as a recycled tire playground for children.

Activities include day camps, canoe trips, Scales & Tales presentations and displays, and Challenge Course programs. Each weekend, Memorial Day through Labor Day, park staff offer a number of free family activities. Check out flyers posted throughout the park or call the park office for more details.

Accessible picnic areas, visitors' center, playgrounds, restrooms, campground facilities, and hunting areas are very popular. See Accessibility For All for more information.

Featured Program: Healthy Parks Healthy People

"Healthy Parks Healthy People" is a program designed to encourage physical activity in the beautiful parks of western Maryland and Caroline County. Department staff encourage healthcare providers to give their patients a prescription to increase physical activity and take part in programs offered at nearby State parks. Partners also include local Health Departments.

ALERT: All "Healthy Parks Healthy People"  programs at Martinak State Park follow Caroline County school closures and delays.
