Multi-use Trails
Tuckahoe State Park boasts excellent hiking, biking and equestrian opportunities. Over 20-miles of trails wander through the park. There is even a physical fitness trail in the lake area and the Lore of the Land Sensory trail near the campground is designed for those with special needs to experience the wonders of nature through their senses.
Horses are not allowed on the Lake, Huckleberry, or Lore of the Land trails. Bicycles are not allowed on the Lore of the Land Sensory trail. The Maryland Park Service does not rent horses, and only provides the trails as a means of recreation.
Trails may be accessed from sunrise to sunset daily, every day of the year, including holidays. The trails south of the lake (excluding the Arboretum) are in the hunting area during applicable seasons Monday through Saturday.
