Community Parks & Playgrounds Program Project Criteria

Maryland’s Community Parks & Playgrounds Program is designed to enhance the livability of communities by creating, restoring or enhancing parks, playgrounds and other open spaces. Applicants are encouraged to emphasize those projects that offer public benefits enhancing quality of life in existing population centers and demonstrating the use of low impact development techniques, materials and management.
