Community Parks and Playgrounds Program Grant Proposal Process

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is now accepting grant proposals for the Community Parks and Playgrounds Program. These proposals will be reviewed and considered for submission to the Maryland General Assembly as part of the Governor’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2026​ budget proposal.

The application period for the FY 2026 Community Parks
​and Playgrounds grant is now closed.​

​A complete Community Parks and Playgrounds Application and Project Agreement with all the necessary accompanying documents must be emailed to: laplocalgrants.dnr@maryland.gov.

Please be advised that incomplete or late applications may not be considered for funding.

Joint Use Agreement

If needed. You will either need a deed to the property held by the project applicant or a joint use agreement signed by the property owner.​


Reimbursement Request

Details of the project costs so the state can reimburse your expenses up to the amount approved by the Board of Public Works.
