The Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve-MD protects and manages estuarine areas as natural field laboratories for coastal research and long-term monitoring to address key Bay issues. The National Estuarine Research Reserve System components serve as reference sites for comparative studies on coastal topics such as ecosystem dynamics, human influences on estuarine systems, habitat conservation and restoration, and species management. Below are a collection of documents and presentations that include research conducted within the Reserve and information compiled about different Reserve components.
