Proposed power plant projects that the Power Plant Research Program (PPRP) is currently reviewing are listed below. Some of these are new facilities and some are modifications to existing facilities, or license modifications to power plants that are already under construction. Projects are grouped together by county location.
The Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) Case Number refers to the docket number that has been assigned by the PSC. All documents filed with the PSC are available at its website

TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECTS
BGE –Brandon Shores Retirement Mitigation Project (PSC Case 9748): Construction of a group of projects that are needed to maintain the electric system reliability following the retirement of the Brandon Shores Generating Station. The Project extends approximately 2.2 miles from the Maryland-Pennsylvania (MD-PA) State line to the Graceton Substation. From the Graceton substation in Harford County, the Project extends 29 miles to the proposed Batavia Substation in Baltimore County. From the proposed Batavia Substation, the Project is proposed to extend an additional 6 miles to the existing Riverside Substation. Additional project work is proposed to occur on the proposed Solley Road Substation in Anne Arundel County.

The line extends approximately 67 miles across portions of Baltimore, Carroll and Frederick Counties from the existing Doubs Substation to west of the existing Conastone Substation.

The line extends approximately 24 miles from the Carroll Substation in Carroll County, Maryland to the Hunterstown Substation in Pennsylvania. Approximately 11.3 miles of the project is located in Carroll County, Maryland.
