The park is located in Northern Harford County about 30 miles North of Baltimore and 8 miles Northwest of Bel Air on Route 24.

Driving Directions:
  • Take I-95 to Route 24 North (exit 77)
  • Take Route 24 North through Bel Air, Rock Spring, and Forest Hill.

The park is located approximately 5 miles North of Forest Hill along Rt. 24. Follow this link for Directions to specific areas of Rocks State Park.

10 a.m. to sunset, November-February

PlanAhead_Red.jpgRocks State Park is known to fill to capacity on summer weekends and holidays. Parking is only permitted in parking lots and authorized pull-offs. Visitors will be turned away if parking lots fill to capacity. Please plan to arrive early.

Reservations are Required for the Kilgore Falls and Falling Branch Area on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day

Hunting Policy:
  • Archery-only hunting for deer permitted in 120-acre designated hunting area with daily sign-in required
  • Cameron property: archery-only hunting for deer permitted on 125 acres from November 13th to end of Archery deer season (free WHS permit / reservation required)

Alcohol Policy:

Alcohol is prohibited.​
Pet Policy:
​Pets are allowed in Rocks State Park but must remain on a leash at all times.
