Blue catfish are invasive to Maryland waters and continue to be an increasing concern to fisheries managers as well as the fishing community as they are being found more and more abundantly in rivers across the state. Blue catfish are big, fast predators that prey on and outcompete native fish. One priority in containing their spread is fishing them, which removes them from the ecosystem where they pose a threat. In this video Captains Marcus Wilson discusses top tips and techniques he and crew are using to catch these invasive fish.
