The special Conservation Season for light geese (greater and lesser snow geese, Ross’s geese) is designed to add additional hunting opportunity for​​ these birds in the Atlantic Flyway. The Wildlife and Heritage Service needs your help in collecting information on hunter participation, the use of the special regulations and overall light goose harvest during the Conservation Order season. This information helps managers assess the effectiveness of this special hunting opportunity.

• Season dates: November 27 – December 9, 2023; February 1 – February 2, 2024; February 5 – April 15, 2024
• Daily bag limit: No limit
• Electronic calls allowed: Yes
• Unplugged guns allowed: Yes
• Shooting hours: ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour past sunset
