Swimming Pool
The Dans Mountain swimming pool is the perfect place to cool down on a hot summer day. On chilly days, the pool is heated to maintain the perfect temperature. The pool is staffed by certified lifeguards and is fully accessible for persons with disabilities. A snack bar and restrooms are provided.
Pool Season and Hours:
Dans Mountain Pool Set to Open May 30
Due to rain and cool temperatures forecasted for Memorial Day weekend, Dans Mountain Pool will delay opening until May 30. Hours for the 2026 season will be 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The pool will be closed June 1-5 and June 8-10, due to our lifeguards' school schedules. Unfortunately, the water slide will not be open this season while needed safety repairs are made.

Pool Admission
The cost to enter the pool area is $4 per person. Admission is free for children 5 and under, veterans and active-duty military with ID, Golden Age Pass holders, and Maryland Park Service Passport holders. Punch passes are also available at a rate of $50 for 25 visits or $30 for 10 visits.
Private Pool Parties
The Dans Mountain pool is available by reservation for private pool parties with certified lifeguards on duty. Reservations are available from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
