Historic Friends Store

Visit the historic Friends Store where penny candy, old time soda, local jams, and various souvenirs are for sale. 

The store was the center of this small community and originally used to sell food staples, gas, and trade ginseng with the locals. It was also the post office until the early 1970’s. Crafts are available for children of all ages. Speak with the store keeper to hear tales of life in the last century and hear Appalachian folklore.​
