Healthy Parks, Healthy People Ball Field

The ball field is a large, open field where visitors can recreate by playing softball, football, soccer and ultimate frisbee, doing yoga or meditating in the serenity of nature.

This space is also used for our Healthy Parks, Healthy People program to get visitors involved and moving outdoors.

"Healthy Parks Healthy People" is a program designed to encourage physical activity in the beautiful parks of western Maryland and Caroline County. Department staff encourage healthcare providers to give their patients a prescription to increase physical activity and take part in programs offered at nearby State parks. Partners also include local Health Departments.

Visitors will find grills nearby, making it a great area for birthday parties!
