Fishing is a popular activity at Deep Creek Lake State Park. Anglers can fish from the shore and from the docks along the park shoreline. Fishing from the ranger docks adjacent to park headquarters and in the swim area is not permitted.
Fishing licenses may be purchased online at https://dnr.maryland.gov/Pages/service_license.aspx or in the park headquarters. Maps and guides may also be purchased at the park headquarters. Please recognize all fishing regulations and seasons.
Keep an eye out for tagged pike as they venture out to Deep Creek Lake! Tagged pike will have a yellow tag along their dorsal fin with a phone number and 4-digit tag number. Look for signs around the lake.
