Big Run has 23 primitive campsites available by reservation year-round. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. Sites 63-75 are wooded, with stone-dust camping pads. Sites 78-90 are in an open grassy field. See Park Map.
The Monroe Run Group Campsite
The Monroe Run Group Campsite is available by reservation year-round. The site can accommodate up to 25 people, and includes a large shelter (built by the Civilian Conservation Corps) and three adjoining campsites. The shelter features a stone fireplace and electricity.
The Creekside Group Campsite (formerly the Youth Group Campsite)
The Creekside Group Campsite is available by reservation year-round. The site is nestled alongside Big Run (a native brook trout stream) and can accommodate up to 12 people. It has a camping pad with a fire ring and picnic tables, and a parking area along the road. Tents may be set up on durable surfaces at the site.

https://parkreservations.maryland.gov. Campers without a reservation will be permitted to pay upon arrival for campsites marked "AVAILABLE" for one night only. Campers who plan to stay more than one night must make a reservation. Campsite guests may set-up camp anytime after 3 p.m. Check-out time is 1 p.m.
