Big Run has 29 primitive campsites available year-round.

Sites 60-75 are wooded, with stone dust camping pads. Sites 78-90 are in an open grassy field. See Park Map.

Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A self registration station is located at the bulletin board at the intersection of Big Run Road and Savage River Road. Camp site guests may set-up camp anytime after 3 p.m. Check-out time is 1 p.m.

Pets on a leash are permitted in any of the campsites.

The Monroe Run Group Campsite is available by reservation year-round. The site can accommodate up to 25 people, and includes a large shelter (built by the Civilian Conservation Corps) and three adjoining campsites. Youth Group Campsite

The youth group campsite is available by reservation. It has a central camping pad, with a fire ring and picnic table, and a parking area along the road.
