Dry, windy conditions have increased fire risk across the state and fueled ongoing wildfires
Firewood cutting is permitted at Rosaryville State Park with a permit. Permits are free of charge and can be obtained from Cedarville State Forest Headquarters or by contacting Cedarville.statepark@maryland.gov. Each permit allows for the collection of one cord of wood. Cutting is only allowed in areas specified by the permit. Only timber that is already dead and down may be cut. Wood is for personal use only and may not be used commercially.
