Paddle-in Campsites at Newtowne Neck State Park

The park offers two opportunities for your overnight paddling excursions along the Potomac River. The sites are primitive, offering beautiful views of the bays and river, miles of sandy beach and new trails through the property’s forests and meadows. There are no campfires permitted on site, nor are there restroom facilities near the sites. Please remember to practice all Leave No Trace principles during your visit. These sites are meant for long distance paddling, campers must launch from alternative sites. If you are interested in reserving one of these sites, please call 301-872-5688 or email pointlookout.statepark@maryland.gov
