Fishing

Visitors can fish from designated areas along the shoreline year-round from park opening to sunset. A proper tidal fishing license is required for persons 16 and older.

Hunting

Deer and small game hunting, with a reservation, are permitted in the designated area during regular hunting seasons. Two permanent goose field blinds are available for use with a reservation. Reservations can be made by calling Wildlife and Heritage at 301-743-5161. A Southern Region Public Hunting Permit is required to hunt at Newtowne. Newtowne Neck is closed for all activities, including hunting, on Christmas Day. Call Point Lookout State Park for more information: 301-872-5688.
