Canoeing and Kayaking

Non-motorized craft can be walked in and launched from the beach area. We also have an accessible floating kayak and canoe launch that is wheelchair accessible and open to the public during regular park hours.

The Greenwell Foundation offers kayaking at its summer camps, as well as kayak outings and events for organizations for people with disabilities and for scouting and veteran groups.

Lessons are offered through the College of Southern Maryland. All camp sessions and lessons are taught by ACA-certified instructors. This water program is fully accessible and provides instructional and recreational opportunities.
