Bow Hunting Only

Rocks State Park offers deer bow-hunting only. Be sure to consult your Maryland Guide to Hunting and Trapping for season dates and bag limits.

Hunting at Rocks State Park is permitted Monday through Saturday during the designated hunting season. Hunters may enter the hunting area half an hour before legal shooting time (legal shooting time is half an hour before sunrise). Hunters must be out of the hunting area one hour after legal shooting time. Legal shooting time ends half an hour after sunset. All hunters must enter and leave from the hunter parking areas and sign in and out on the hunter bulletin board.

Hunting Policy:

  • Route 24 Area: Archery-only hunting for deer permitted in 120 acre designated hunting area with daily sign-in required.
  • Cameron Property - Archery-only hunting for deer permitted on 125 acres from November 13th to end of Archery deer season
    • Patrons seeking permission to hunt on the Cameron Property must register for the Free Central Region Public Hunting permit and make a reservation by calling 410-356-9272.
