The Office of Outdoor Recreation was established by the MORE Commission to support and enhance outdoor recreation opportunities across the state.
We are guided by the “five Es”: Environmental conservation & stewardship, Education & workforce development, Economic development, Exercise health & wellness and Equity, access & inclusion.

The Maryland Office of Outdoor Recreation strives to make outdoor recreation spaces more welcoming and inclusive, expand access to outdoor recreation opportunities, and amplify the good work that is being done in the field.
