Jug Bay Wetland Sanctuary - Nature Play Space

Located at Jug Bay Wetland Sanctuary in Lothian, Maryland, this nature play space provides a place for children to call their own. While Jug Bay Wetland Sanctuary offers a multitude of opportunities for adults and young adults, it had yet to accommodate the needs of visiting children. This nature play space does that and much more. Children have the opportunity to express their creative side at the nature art table or by playing various natural instruments, jumping from tree cookie to tree cookie, sitting in a real canoe, or simply exploring the space created just for them.

Jug Bay Wetland Sanctuary has always been a home to emotional, intellectual, and creative development, but now your whole family can enjoy that experience. Thanks to the Chesapeake Conservations Corps and other admirable volunteers this natural site was transformed into a play space for children, without losing its roots.
