Annual work plans help the department identify priorities within the scope of the forests’ long-range management. They address composition, establishment, growth, health, and quality along with construction, recreation, and maintenance projects.
The Maryland Forest Service is seeking public comment on the proposed fiscal year 2027 annual work plans for Chesapeake Forest and Pocomoke State Forest (combined plan), Potomac and Garrett State Forests (combined plan), Savage River State Forest, and Green Ridge State Forest.
Comments will be accepted between March 23 and April 30, 2026.
