Our Climate Initiatives
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources recognizes that climate change is a serious threat to Maryland’s ecosystems, communities, and economy. As stewards of the state’s natural resources, DNR staff are responding to climate change and preparing for its continued effects. The department is restoring and conserving lands, enacting policies, managing habitats, and engaging with communities in order to best equip our state, our residents, and our natural resources for the realities of climate change.
