The Maryland Department of Natural Resources continues to find new and better ways to reach our audiences with valuable information.

We now offer the popular Maryland Fishing Report as an Alexa skill. Anglers access the skill on an Amazon device by simply saying “Alexa, open Maryland Fishing Report.” Then they can choose to hear the entire fishing report or select one of the state’s major fishing regions.

Anyone can access the report through an Amazon Echo Device or by just downloading the Alexa app for free onto any smartphone.

Our Access DNR Fishing Report Alexa Skill has been nominated for a 2019 StateScoop 50 Award in the category of State IT Innovation of the Year. These annually honor the best programs that make the state government more efficient and effective.
