Train the Trainer Courses for Fall

When we have trainers in each region, we can bring your training closer to home. Consider becoming an instructor in one of these classes this fall. Eventually, we will want you to attend our internal instructor training, but for now, you can get started by taking a train the trainer class in a specific subject. The time commitment for most of these training sessions is a couple of times a year, along with a day or two of prep to get ready for your class.

Traffic Direction - Train the Trainer

Ranger directing trafficTo meet the requirements of Policy 16-49, anyone who directs traffic within a State Park must complete an approved traffic direction training course.

Without adjunct instructors, the Maryland Park Service Training Division would not be able to offer the variety of courses, nor the volume of courses that we currently provide. Having instructors spread across the State increases the chances of training opportunities close to the employee's home base.
