Boating Safety

Please continue to check these listings during the year as many of our instructors are still very cautious and concerned about COVID-19 so, these classroom courses may be very limited until instructors feel that in-person instruction is safe to implement.​​​​​​​​​​​

  • In person Boating Safety Course: Harbour Cove Marina, 5910 Vacation Lane, Deale, MD
    Subject course is scheduled for the first and second Saturday, 07 & 14 October 2023. Start time 0800, completing at 1600 hrs. for the day.  Harbour Cove will also be advertising to their clients.

    Please bring a lunch, drinks/snacks. Optimum/ maximum class size is 20 - 24 participants.  Please post to our Facebook page and/or ​other advertising avenues.

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​US Coast Guard Auxiliary: SUDDENLY IN COMMAND SEMINAR  t​his seminar provides of knowledge of what to do if you find yourself unsuspectingly in command of a vessel, practical boating tips,​ and more.​ You can register here.

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Boater Safety Course - This Nasbla approved in-​person ​c​ourse covers the knowledge needed to obtain a boating certificate. These courses are taught by certified instructors from the USCG Auxiliary Easton Flotilla, and has a ​fee of $25.00.   The classes will run from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Safe Boating Class Schedule ​2023 Maryland Basic Boating Course - The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary (​Ocean City, MD) will teach the state mandated Recreational Safe Boating Course on three consecutive week nights in 2023. Discussions include local water knowledge, piloting, knots, boating terms, trailering, maintenance and more. The classes will run from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
