Salem State Forest Hunting
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources-Wildlife and Heritage Service in cooperation with the Maryland DNR Forest Service have established a public hunting program on the property. Hunting is allowed on the Salem State Forest for the land located between Indian Bridge Road and Maryland Route 5 in Redgate.
- Reservations are not required to hunt the property for upland game and forest game.
- Waterfowl hunting is not available on this property.
- The Maryland hunting rules and regulations are enforced.
- No permanent deer stands are allowed and portable stands are not to be left on the property.
- There is no hunting allowed on tract 2 of the Salem State Forest which is located on the north and south sides of Wilderness Run Road.
