Forestry Products “Essential”

In the face of the coronavirus pandemic and rapidly expanding closures across many business sectors, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has designated forest products manufacturing as critical infrastructure. Governor Larry Hogan recognizes the impact that forest products provide to the health and well-being of our society and extends the federal government’s designation to the state level. This recognizes businesses active in the manufacturing and distribution of forest products including but not limited to timber, paper, and other wood products as being essential to our community and keeps them working to the benefit of the public and the land.
