Irma's Crab Imperial

Maryland crab meat

This is my grandmother's crab imperial recipe.

​​Directions​

  • Mix pepper and pimento.
  • Add mustard, salt, pepper, eggs and mayonnaise; mix well.
  • Add crab meat and mix in with fingers so no lumps are broken.
  • Pile into individual shells or into a 13x9x2 casserole dish, and top with a light coating of mayonnaise and sprinkle with paprika.
  • For individual crab shells, bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until bubbly.
  • If baking in a casserole dish, bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
