September is a remarkable month, with one foot dragging along a little summer weather and yet taking another noticeable step into fall. It is the best of both worlds and fishing could hardly be better.

Hard Cards

Maryland is offering the purchase of durable license cards that have your license information printed on the card. No more paper licenses that fade, rip or fall apart. These rugged, collectable cards feature beautiful  images of Maryland fish and wildlife.

Each year we will feature new imagery showing the beauty and diversity of Maryland and what it has to offer outdoor enthusiasts. These cards are not required but are an add-on purchase available after the purchase of a hunting or fishing license or vessel registration. In many cases these images are photographs taken by Maryland photographers as part of our annual photo contest.
