​​ ​The Dans Mountain State Park pool is NOW OPEN from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily. The cost to enter the pool area is $4 per person. Admission is free for children 5 and under, veterans and active-duty military with ID, Golden Age Pass holders, and Maryland Park Service Passport holders. Hours are subject to change based on staffing, weather, and other factors, so visitors are encouraged to call ahead at 301-895-5453.

Perched high upon on a 16-mile long mountain in Lonaconing, Maryland, Dans Mountain State Park is the perfect place to cool down on a hot summer day. The 481-acre park features a fully accessible swimming pool, four large group pavilions, a recycled-tire playground and a peaceful pond for fishing. Consumption of alcohol is prohibited, except when an alcohol permit is purchased for the pavilions at time of reservation.
