Camping
Cedarville State Forest's Campground is open from April to October. Reservations can be made by calling 1-888-432-2267, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Online reservations can be made at
parkreservations.maryland.gov, 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.
From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day there is a two-night minimum stay. Holiday weekends require a three-night minimum stay.
Campers are limited to 14 cumulative nights of camping in Maryland State Park campgrounds during any 21-day period. Persons who have stayed in a campground for 14 of 21 nights must vacate for at least seven consecutive days before re-registering at a state park.
Camp Hosts
Camp Hosts are volunteers that live in the campground. Of the many benefits Camp Hosts provide the park, they are primarily responsible for assisting campers and the upkeep of the campground. Please feel free to stop by the Camp Host site if you need assistance.

Family Camping Loop
Each campsite has a picnic table, fire ring with a grill, and a lantern post. Campsites on the inner loop are equipped with electric, and sites on the outer loop are primitive. The bathhouse is located within the center of the loop and blue water spigots are located throughout the loop. This loop is pet-friendly.

Equestrian Camping Loop
Campsites are primitive and a bathhouse is located in the center of the Equestrian Camping Loop. A muck bin is located between sites 31 and 32. A horse is required to stay in the Equestrian Camping Loop.

Youth Group Camping Loop
Youth Group passes are honored. Youth Group camping reservations can only be made by calling the Maryland Park Service Reservation Service at 1-888-432-2267. The Maryland Park Service reserves the right to restrict the maximum and minimum number of vehicles and individuals admitted under one Youth Group pass per visit.
Adult leaders must accompany the group at a ratio of 1 adult to not more than 5 youths. A maximum of 30 campers is allowed per site. Each Youth Group site has 3 fire rings, 5 picnic tables, and parking for at least 6 vehicles. Additional vehicles must park in the overflow parking area.
