Maryland State Park Reservation Service
Advance booking time frame is one calendar year in advance. For example, May 15, 2022, customers may book any date until May 15, 2023. On-line reservations may be made at
parkreservations.maryland.gov. Internet customers have the ability to make reservations on Maryland's Reservation Internet site 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Reservations are available 365 days in advance of your arrival date. New reservation inventory is available Monday through Friday beginning at 9 a.m. both online and in the call center. New inventory does not become available on Saturdays, Sundays, and designated holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day) when the call center is not open. Inventory that would become available on these dates will be available on the next day that the call center is open.

State Park Day-Use Area Admission Fee Waivers
Day-Use Waiver for Veterans - All applicable day-use entrance charges are waived for all veterans of the United States Armed Forces. This waiver applies to both resident and out-of-state veterans. This waiver is applicable to the veteran only and not others in the same vehicle, unless a per-vehicle charge is in effect at the time. In that case, the per-vehicle fee is waived. No other facility use service charges will be waived.
Another option for veterans and their families is the
Maryland State Park and Trail Passport that can be purchased for a yearly fee of $75 ($100 for non-residents). This pass entitles the holder to unlimited day-use entry for everyone in the vehicle (up to 10 people) to Maryland's state parks, including unlimited boat launching.
Veteran Designation on Maryland Drivers' Licenses - Maryland Veterans can add a special designation on their drivers' licenses. For additional information, visit the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration website.
Day-Use Waiver for Active Duty Military / Maryland National Guard - Any member of the Maryland National Guard and all active duty military personnel who display their active duty military identification card to the gate attendant at any Maryland State Park day-use area will have their day-use entrance service charge waived. The waiver is valid for the military identification card holder only. No other facility service charges will be waived.
ADA Accessible Camping
Accessible ADA campsites, full service cabins, mini cabins, youth group/group sites, and shelters are available to persons with disabilities at various parks. ADA sites typically have a paved driveway and paved pathway leading to an accessible running water restroom/shower building. These sites are intended, but not limited to (except at Assateague State Park), for use by visitors with qualifying conditions under the Americans with Disabilities Act and their family/guests. For more information about the ADA, please go to
ada.gov. Check individual parks for availability of ADA campsites, cabins and shelters at
https://parkreservations.maryland.gov/.
ADA ONLY Accessible Campsites - Assateague State Park
ADA ONLY Accessible campsites at Assateague State Park can be reserved by calling the Reservations Center at 888-432-2267. They are reservable solely for use by visitors with a disability and their family/guests. The disabled person must be an occupant on the site during the entire reservation period. Reservations that do not meet this criteria will be moved to another site, if available, but are not guaranteed a site or a site with the same amenities. No refunds will be issued for invalid reservation.
