➔ Fishing Instructor Training:
This training will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to run beginner fishing lessons through your organization. This opportunity is available to youth organizations, schools, scout troops, parks, nature centers, 4-H clubs, libraries, summer camps and community groups. Completing a Fishing Instructor Training will qualify you to borrow fishing gear from the state for extended use, for free.
Training Availability Details:
- A training may be scheduled Tues-Thursday, 8am-4pm, November
through April.
- Please attempt to schedule your training far in advance. There is
limited availability and you may need to book a year in advance if you
are looking for a particular date/time of year.
Requirements to request a training:
- Must have at least 10 participants to request training.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have and/or acquire a fishing license prior to the training.
Requirements post training:
- Must report on use of borrowed equipment.
- Must maintain all borrowed equipment.
- Must return any borrowed equipment upon completion of fishing lessons.
