The Maryland Park Service is pleased to announce our partnership with Tentrr, a ​company that provides fully-equipped, ready-to-go campsites for those who value comfort and convenience while exploring Maryland’s state parks. Spacious canvas safari tents come with a comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep, Adirondack chairs for optimal stargazing, and a fire pit to keep you toasty-warm. There are currently six Tentrr sites at Big Run State Park.

Situated at the mouth of the Savage River Reservoir in Garrett County, Big Run State Park is the perfect base camp from which to enjoy the surrounding Savage River State Forest. Campers at Big Run have easy access to fishing, boating, hiking or hunting opportunities. Autumn visitors have a spectacular view of the changing colors on the surrounding mountain ridges.
