Terry Peterson | Associate Professor in Outdoor Leadership and Adventure Education Program, Garrett CollegeTerry Peterson has been an Associate Professor at Garrett College, in the Outdoor Leadership and Adventure Education Program (OLA) (formerly the Adventuresports Institute) for 25 years. While teaching technical skills in Whitewater Kayaking, Backpacking, Sea Kayaking, and Cross-Country Skiing, her emphasis is always on sharing her passion for the natural world, and teaching others about the importance of protecting our natural environment in a sustainable manner. She has been instrumental at incorporating the Leave No Trace Ethics (LNT) into the OLA curriculum. The LNT Ethics form the cornerstone of every class in the OLA program, culminating in an LNT workshop that provides students with the opportunity to become LNT Educators.
