Tim Hamilton | Business and Marketing Manager, Maryland Park ServiceTim Hamilton has been the Business and Marketing Manager for the Maryland Park Service since 2018, where he leads the development of public-private partnerships and oversees marketing and communications to support the mission of the system’s 78 parks. Before joining the Maryland Park Service, Tim owned Shiny Object, LLC, a marketing and advertising agency specializing in small to medium-sized businesses. He also served as the Marketing Director for Homestead Gardens, one of the largest garden centers in the United States. Under his leadership, Homestead Gardens earned recognition as the nation’s top garden center and was named “Garden Center of the Year” by Garden Centers of America in 2004 and Nursery Retailer Magazine in 2008. With 27 years of experience in media and marketing, Tim’s career has included roles in broadcast news, radio consulting, market research, advertising, and brand development. He also taught Digital and Social Media Marketing as an adjunct instructor at Saint Francis University. A frequent speaker, Tim has shared his expertise with numerous business and non-profit organizations, helping them leverage advertising, branding, event-based marketing, public relations, and social media to enhance their brands. |
