If you are a Maryland landowner or agricultural lessee experiencing
severe crop damage from deer, you may be eligible for Deer Damage
Permits, which would allow you to reduce the number of deer on your
property outside of the deer hunting season. Permits are issued by the
Wildlife and Heritage Service Wildlife Response staff. The
investigator assigned to review your request for eligibility will
consider the type, extent and severity of damage, time of year, and
deer population estimates for your locale.
