TOOLS (Targeted Outreach and On-Line Support) is an information service providing assistance to homeowners
looking to increase their awareness of or involvement in local environmental concerns and solutions, as well
as, to improve resource efficiency in their backyard. Targeted users within local communities include homeowners
and landowners, regardless of the size or location of the property within Maryland; neighborhood groups; and
homeowner associations. TOOLS aims to increase homeowner awareness and active management of natural resources
by building capacity in the community.
TOOLS works to foster an understanding of the benefits of natural resource
management in our backyards and neighborhoods, as well as, methods for seamless application to,
and assistance with, mandated activities.
