Maryland’s Coastal Program takes a comprehensive approach to problem solving, balancing the often competing and conflicting demands of coastal resource use, economic development, and conservation. Technical and financial assistance is available to coastal communities to address national, state and local coastal resource priorities.
With over 7,000 miles of coastline along the Chesapeake Bay, Coastal Bays and Atlantic Ocean, Maryland's coastal zone includes 16 counties and Baltimore City.
