Restoration and Protection

Funding

There are a number of public and private funding sources for restoration and watershed planning projects. DNR has prepared an on-line compilation of those sources which can be found at: /bay/services

Many grant programs are designed for use by non-profit organizations, local governments, or watershed associations. It is important to be aware of all of the requirements for the grant, such as match, citizen involvement, or reporting requirements, before accepting an award. Grant management administration activities should be factored into the overall project commitment.
