Channel Alteration is the common practice of dredging,
straightening and/or widening stream channels.

Stream Bank Erosion occurs in areas where the
stream is cutting into and removing portions of the stream bank
Exposed Pipes are pipes that are either in the
stream or along the stream banks that are not buried.
Pipe Outfalls are pipes or small man made channels
that discharge into the stream through the stream corridor.
Fish Migration Barriers are anything in the
stream that significantly interferes with the upstream movement of fish.
Inadequate Buffers are areas where the stream does
not have an adequate tree width along the stream banks.
Trash Dumping is a problem in areas where large amounts of
trash have been dumped inside the stream corridor or in places near a stream or river where trash tends to accumulate.
