Characters dress as they would have appeared at Maryland's State Civil War Parks Point Lookout State Park and South Mountain Recreational Area, featuring exact copies of original Civil War Union/Confederate caps, hats, coats, shirts, trousers, drawers, socks, shoes, packs, blankets, canteens, cartridges, boxes, cap boxes, belts, and buckles, haversacks, food rations (such as hardtack and salt pork), company cookware and shelter featuring a pitched soldiers shelter tent, if program held outside. This program will also feature a discussion of the soldier's musket and bayonet and how they work. Blank firing can only be exhibited in state forests and parks.
