Volunteer Ranger
To assist the park rangers with day to day or long-term operational responsibilities. Minimum 100 hours per year (approximately one day per month). Hours and days of the week vary with assignment.
Campground Host
To assist park operations and maintenance staff with day to day transactions of the campground. Minimum 24 hours per week, April through October. Hours vary as needed.
Historical Researcher
To identify, research and document historical areas and items in the park. Create brochures, handouts and displays for use by park visitors. Minimum of eight hours per month, year-round. Hours vary depending on work needed.
Trail Maintenance Crew Member
To assist with rebuilding and upkeep of existing park maintained trails, under the direction of a crew leader. Minimim one day per month, March through October. Hours vary between morning and sunset.
Park Aide - Headquarters Building
Assist staff by manning the headquarters building. Minimum of eight hours per month, weekdays and weekends, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., depending on area assigned.
Clerical Assistant
Assist headquarters staff with clerical duties weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Naturalist
Develop, conduct and assist with interpretive (natural and historical) programs within the park. Minimum one day per month, March through October. Hours will vary with the program.
Student Service/Eagle Scout Candidates
Assist park personnel with completion of needed projects. Times are flexible throughout the work as needed to complete required projects. Hours vary between sunrise and sunset.
