Become A Junior Ranger

Rangers and naturalists lead children and teens, ages 7-11 years, through the fundamentals of environmental education and stewardship. Junior Rangers can earn three achievement awards: Basic, Advanced and Expert. Once they complete their Expert Achievement award, they begin to earn patches in our more self-guided levels, such as Naturalist, Explorer, Conservationist and Guide.

Upon completion of the summer program, Junior Rangers will receive a membership card and basic level patch. Two weeklong programs are available June 24th, 2019 to June 28th, 2019 or July 22nd, 2019 - July 26th, 2019. Both programs are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact the Park Office at 301-872-5688 or via e-mail at pointlookout.statepark@maryland.gov
