Self-guided opportunities are available on Maryland's public lands for the novice to experienced enthusiast, as well as the family with young children. Above all, we are intent on providing you with a great outdoor experience -- from paddling Maryland's Janes Island water trail on the Eastern Shore, and horseback riding in mountainous terrain of Western Maryland, to bird watching near scenic Southern Maryland marshes, and cycling historic rail trails in Central Maryland.
