Spring stocking closures apply in the Put and Take area. Parking available in the William Houck Area and on Catoctin Hollow Road.
Launch Site Boat ramp located on Catoctin Hollow Road. Service charge in effect for William Houck Area and the boat ramp.

Potable Water/Restrooms Both are available in the William Houck Area.
Species Rainbow trout, bass, bluegills, crappie and catfish.
License Fees (subject to change) Consolidated senior resident sportfishing license $5 (allows individuals 65 years of age or older to fish in nontidal waters of the State of Maryland, in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.

Maryland Residents $10

Nonresident $20

Short term license $7 (valid for five consecutive days from date of issuance)

Trout Stamp $5 (required for all anglers possessing trout except persons under 16 years of age or holders of a Consolidated Senior Resident License).

Other Points of Interest Early settlers used timber from the forests to make charcoal to fuel the Catoctin Iron Furnace. Too many years of clear-cutting and unscientific farming practices contributed to the overuse and destruction of the land.
